What happened
During a scheduled flight from Vazgort to Koslan, the aircraft performed a brief 20-minute stop at Most Pyssa. During this period of inactivity, weather conditions worsened, resulting in snowfall. The crew proceeded with the flight without clearing the accumulated snow from the aircraft surfaces.
Upon departing Most Pyspara, the aircraft began its climb. While the crew was executing a left-hand turn, the aircraft entered a stall. The subsequent impact occurred in a wooded area, which resulted in a post-crash fire. The accident resulted in 14 fatalities and one survivor.
Findings
- The crew did not perform snow removal procedures prior to takeoff.
- Accumulated snow on the aircraft contributed to an aerodynamic stall during the climbing turn.
