During the evening hours, a single-engine aircraft departed from Yartsevo to conduct an unauthorized flight toward Novy Gorodok. Shortly after the departure, while the flight was in the cruise phase under night conditions, the plane struck a tree measuring approximately 14 meters in height. This collision occurred within a forest clearing situated roughly 35 km southwest of Yartsevo.

Following the impact with the tree, the aircraft lost altitude and traveled an additional 121 meters before hitting the ground. The impact caused the plane to catch fire. The accident resulted in two fatalities, as both members of the flight crew were killed in the crash.
