What happened

On the morning of the incident, a twin-engine aircraft departed from Pangkal Pinang Airport at 09:24 local time. The flight was scheduled to land at Hang Nadim Airport on Batam Island. During the transit, the aircraft lost contact with radar tracking systems.

The plane subsequently crashed into the ocean, approximately 74 km southeast of Tanjun Pinang within the Riau Islands region. Following the disappearance, local fishermen discovered floating debris and remains near Pulau Senayang at approximately 11:30 local time.

All 13 occupants on the aircraft were killed in the accident.
