What happened
During an approach to Monterrey-General Mariano Escobido Airport, the flight crew encountered heavy fog that severely restricted visibility. While performing the short final phase of the landing, the aircraft impacted the terrain approximately 400 metres before reaching the runway threshold. The impact occurred in a rocky area, causing the aircraft to lose its undercarriage during the sequence of events.
Following the collision with the ground, the aircraft came to a stop in the rocky terrain. The incident resulted in two minor injuries to the crew members, as both pilots were able to evacuate the wreckage. The aircraft sustained damage that rendered it a total loss.

- The primary factor contributing to the accident was poor visibility caused by thick fog during the final approach phase.
