What happened
A private flight involving a single-engine airplane began with a departure from Locarno Airfield, destined for Grenchen. The aircraft was operated with a crew of one pilot and two passengers on board. During the approach phase, while the aircraft was performing a circuit for Runway 06 at Grenchen Airport, the plane experienced a stall. This led to a crash into a pasture situated in Leuzigen, which is approximately 4 km east of the airport. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft. All three occupants sustained injuries during the event.
At the time of the accident, meteorological conditions included mist with scattered clouds at 800 feet and an overcast ceiling at 1,400 feet. Visibility was reported to be approximately 4 km, with winds originating from 070 degrees at 6 knots.
