What happened
During a recent landing operation at Belgrade-Surcin Airport, an aircraft experienced a runway excursion. Following touchdown on the runway, the pilot was unable to decelerate the plane sufficiently within the available remaining distance of the pavement. As a result, the aircraft overran the end of the runway before eventually coming to a complete stop.
While the incident resulted in the aircraft being damaged beyond repair, there were no fatalities or injuries reported among those on board. The event occurred during the landing phase of flight, specifically following the moment of contact with the runway surface.
