Aeronaut X to open business jet simulator centre near Amsterdam Schiphol

Aeronaut X, part of the AX Aero Group, will open a training centre for business aircraft pilots near Amsterdam Schiphol airport in the first quarter of 2027. The first courses will cover the Bombardier Challenger 3500 and Challenger 650. More aircraft models will follow later.

The centre will offer type ratings with practical flight training, recurrent training, the training of type rating instructors, and programmes tailored to individual operators. Aeronaut X said it will use modern simulators and training methods including Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) and Evidence-Based Training (EBT).

A strategic partnership with VistaJet has been agreed for the launch. The business flight operator will train its Challenger pilots at the centre, which will stay open to other aircraft operators.
