LATAM Airlines Group has signed a contract with Embraer covering spare parts for its future E195-E2 fleet. The South American group has firm orders for 24 of the type, plus options on 50 more.

The agreement gives LATAM a place in the Brazilian manufacturer's Component Pool Program, with access to more than 300 different aircraft components from a shared spares pool.

It covers component exchange, repairs and overhauls, and the supply of selected parts at LATAM locations in Brazil. Embraer says the arrangement is meant to improve aircraft availability and reduce storage and maintenance costs.
