Air Astana Group expands China flights by 81% for summer 2026

Air Astana and FlyArystan operated 49 weekly flights to China in summer 2026, a capacity increase of 81% over the previous summer, including new routes to Shanghai, Xi'an, and Guangzhou.

The Air Astana Group, made up of Air Astana and FlyArystan, operated its largest schedule so far in summer 2026. At peak season the carriers offered 525 weekly flights within Kazakhstan, plus 57 weekly connections to the Caucasus and 49 to China.

China capacity was up 81% compared with summer 2025, with 49 weekly flights on seven routes. New destinations included Shanghai, Xi'an, and Guangzhou. The group also expanded services to Europe, Central Asia, and other Asian markets.

On-time performance across the three summer months reached 86%, up 12.5 percentage points year on year.
