Air France to shift New York JFK operations to New Terminal One next year

Air France will move all of its New York-JFK flights to the airport's New Terminal One starting next year, the carrier said. It will also open a new lounge of more than 29,000 square feet, which it calls the largest in its international network.

The two-level space is designed by Air France teams with the design agency MARKS Brandimage and will seat more than 400 guests. It is meant for La Première and Business customers, Flying Blue Elite Plus members, and eligible travellers flying with KLM and SkyTeam partner airlines.

Nicolas Henin, Air France's senior vice president for North America, said New York is one of the airline's most important markets, and that this year marks 80 years of service to the city. The move and the lounge, he said, represent further investment in the premium travel experience.

Jennifer Aument, chief executive of New Terminal One, said the airport operator was honoured that Air France had selected the terminal as the home for the lounge. She called the Air France-KLM Group the terminal's largest airline and a key anchor carrier, and a long-term partner.
