Flydubai to exceed 100 aircraft in 2026 and refit business class
Flydubai expects eleven more Boeing 737 Max jets this year, taking its fleet past 100 aircraft, and will begin installing lie-flat business seats from September.

Flydubai says it will take its fleet past 100 aircraft during 2026. Eleven Boeing 737 Max are due this year: seven 737 Max 9 and four 737 Max 8.
The larger 737 Max 9 will have 16 business class and 156 economy seats. Some 737 Max 8 have only ten business class seats. The airline said the extra premium capacity lets it meet strong demand for business class travel on international routes, attract more high-yield passengers and use capacity on existing frequencies more efficiently.
A cabin programme starts in September. Over twelve months, 21 Boeing 737 Max with reclining business class seats will get lie-flat seats. Flydubai is also replacing overhead bins with Boeing Space Bins, which hold up to six standard carry-on items instead of four.
The airline had previously modernised the cabins of its Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
