US-Bangla plans multibillion-dollar aircraft leasing deal within 60 days
The Bangladeshi carrier intends to sign a further large aircraft leasing contract worth $4–5 billion in the next two months, its managing director said, without specifying the number of planes or the manufacturer.

US-Bangla Airlines intends to sign another large aircraft leasing contract within the next 60 days. Managing director Abdullah Al Mamin put the value at four to five billion dollars, or roughly 3.4 to 4.3 billion euros, according to the newspaper Business Standard. He did not say how many aircraft the airline wants, or whether they would come from Airbus or Boeing.
The plan follows a leasing deal announced at the end of July worth 1.5 billion dollars, about 1.3 billion euros, covering 21 Boeing aircraft. That order comprises 15 Boeing 737 Max 8s and six 737-800s, with deliveries scheduled to run until the end of 2027.
US-Bangla currently operates 25 aircraft. The airline says this is the largest fleet among carriers in Bangladesh.
