Air Greenland to end Billund–Greenland seasonal route in summer 2027
Air Greenland will stop offering direct seasonal flights from Billund to Greenland in summer 2027, leaving Copenhagen and Aalborg as the only Danish departure points for Nuuk.
Air Greenland will not operate direct flights from Billund to Greenland in summer 2027, having decided to discontinue the seasonal service. Travelers departing from Denmark next summer will be able to fly directly to Nuuk only from Copenhagen and Aalborg.
The Billund link was first opened on 29 March 2023, when the seasonal route served Greenland's Kangerlussuaq airport and gave western Denmark its first direct connections to Greenland. The service was also offered in summer 2025.
