Airbus handed over 475 commercial aircraft to customers between January and August 2026, a 9% increase from the 434 deliveries recorded in the same period last year, according to the manufacturer's monthly bulletin.
August alone saw 57 commercial aircraft delivered, while gross orders for the month totalled 67, including eight A350F freighters for an undisclosed customer.
For the year to date, Airbus recorded 1,157 gross orders, or 1,091 net orders after cancellations.
Single-aisle A320-family deliveries rose 11% year on year, driving much of the overall increase. The A330 widebody programme, however, faced recent operational challenges that were reflected in its cumulative delivery figures.
Despite the improvement, Airbus remains behind the pace required to hit its 2026 target of 870 aircraft, according to the data.
