Airbus has resumed A330neo deliveries after a quality problem halted them for several months, AFP reports.

The manufacturer found a forgotten tool in the horizontal tailplane of one aircraft, then inspected all A330neo still in production and tightened its checks.

For aircraft already in service, Airbus is still coordinating with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, EASA. AFP, citing a source familiar with the matter, reports that all A330neo delivered between January 2021 and July 2026 could be affected.

Airbus has recommended that operators move possible future inspections of the horizontal tailplane forward to coincide with scheduled maintenance. EASA said there is no immediate safety problem for the in-service fleet.
