American Airlines opens cabin crew applications for 2027 training classes
American Airlines has opened applications for its 2027 cabin crew training classes and redesigned its interview process. The carrier says it has more than 30,000 flight attendants in service worldwide.

American Airlines has opened applications for 2027 cabin crew training classes, describing the interview process as revised and more transparent.
The airline says it is recruiting its next group of cabin crew, with new trainees expected to receive their wings in the first half of 2027. American has more than 30,000 flight attendants in service worldwide.
American redesigned the interview stage so applicants get a clear, realistic view of what the role demands before they join.
Cole Brown, the airline's chief people officer, said refining the candidate experience is one of several ways American works to ensure staff are equally committed and prepared to care for customers. The process, he said, should reflect the hospitality and service passengers expect.
The change follows updates earlier this year to onboarding and graduation for new cabin crew. American said the approach is meant to give applicants a full picture of the profession from the early stages, including its realities, challenges and rewards.
