AOPA ends use of X, directs members to other platforms

The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association said it has stopped using X, formerly Twitter, and will no longer monitor messages there. The group gave no reason for the decision.

The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association said Sunday that it has stopped using X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

The organization said it will no longer monitor its inbox, feed, or mentions on the site. In a final post, it directed followers to its accounts on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube, which can be found by searching "flywithaopa."

AOPA did not give a reason for the move in its announcement, and had not responded to a request for comment on Monday.
