ANA adopts Quvia platform for inflight connectivity monitoring
All Nippon Airways is deploying Quvia's platform to get an independent, real-time view of inflight internet performance and passenger quality of experience.

All Nippon Airways has begun using a monitoring platform from Quvia to track the performance of its inflight internet service, the companies said. The carrier will draw on Quvia's system for an independent, real-time view of passenger quality of experience, according to the announcement.
Kentaro Okada, ANA's vice president of customer experience, said the airline is expanding high-speed connectivity in its cabins and that the platform gives it more visibility into how that connectivity performs and how passengers experience it. The carrier has been rolling out free, high-speed internet across its international fleet.
Quvia's role as a separate supplier of quality-of-experience data is intended to help airlines adjust the onboard experience and make decisions about connectivity, the company said. Mike Moeller, senior vice president of aviation at Quvia, said carriers need a consistent way to understand the passenger experience on connected aircraft, and that ANA is establishing that capability now while retaining room to add newer technologies later.
No financial terms, fleet figures or timeline for the rollout were disclosed.
