ANA Holdings to fold cargo units into single brand by fiscal 2027

ANA Holdings will bring its cargo businesses under one brand, the parent of All Nippon Airways said. The combined carrier is to be called ANA Nippon Cargo Airlines, with the name change set for the second half of fiscal 2027.

Three units make up the new operation: ANA Cargo, Nippon Cargo Airlines and NCA Japan.

ANA Holdings completed its purchase of Nippon Cargo Airlines in August 2025. The group said then that the deal formed part of plans to strengthen its resilience against market volatility. In March this year it confirmed it would press ahead with integrating Nippon Cargo's operations into its own, merging sales, warehousing and cargo handling.

Nippon Cargo Airlines is based at Tokyo Narita and flies Boeing 747 freighters: eight 747-8Fs, along with seven 747-400Fs operated on wet-lease arrangements. ANA's cargo fleet consists of six 767Fs and two 777Fs.

ANA Holdings said the new name reflects a unified identity across the group, the service standard it calls Nippon Quality, and an aim to build trust and expertise across the three merging businesses. More details about the brand, including its corporate identity, will be released in the near future.
