Dutch cabin union loses two cases against KLM and KLM Cityhopper
The Dutch cabin crew union VNC has lost two legal proceedings against KLM Cityhopper and KLM concerning two employees who were denied a transfer to the parent carrier. KLM Cityhopper has submitted a revised proposal for a new procedure.
The Dutch cabin crew union VNC lost two legal cases against KLM Cityhopper and KLM. Both involved KLM Cityhopper employees who had been refused a move to parent company KLM.
VNC argued the decisions lacked transparency. The court did not grant the employees' claims in either case.
VNC plans to keep pursuing the broader question of transfer options. KLM Cityhopper has since proposed a revised procedure, and the union and the company will continue talks on it on 15 September.
