Brunei's VIP Boeing 767 appears bound for new owner in Malaysia
A 33-year-old VIP-configured Boeing 767 long used by the Sultan of Brunei has been stripped of its markings and is in Hamburg for maintenance, with reports pointing to a transfer of ownership to the Sultan of Johor.

A VIP-configured Boeing 767 belonging to the Sultan of Brunei is at Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg, and the 33-year-old aircraft has been stripped of its royal markings. The red crest on the tail and the Royal Brunei lettering with small flags on the fuselage have been removed or painted over. According to the report, the jet has been flying in a white and yellow scheme for months.
The aircraft, registered V8-MHB, carried the same owner for its entire service life. Its current visit to Hamburg is said to be its last on Brunei's behalf. It is expected to pass to the Sultan of Johor, ruler of the Malaysian state of Johor.
Brunei's government fleet includes a Boeing 747-8, a 787-8 and the 767-200. Since last year, an Airbus A330-800 has been fitted out at the same Hamburg facility for use as a government aircraft, and it is expected to replace the 767 in the fleet.
