Binter has agreed financing with Santander, Caixa Bank and BBVA for nine Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. The Spanish regional airline is based in the Canary Islands. The jets are worth 510 million US dollars in total and will be delivered from 2027.

Five of the nine were firmly ordered in July. At the time, purchase rights existed for four more. Neither Binter nor Embraer has said whether those rights have been converted into firm orders since.

Binter connects the islands to each other and to destinations in Spain and Africa. The E195-E2 is the largest model in Embraer's E2 family, and at the carrier it seats 132 passengers in a 2-2 layout.

The nine additional aircraft will bring Binter's fleet to 25 E195-E2s. The airline plans to use them to expand its connections among the Canary Islands and to Africa, among other things.
