Bolivian cargo airline TAB restarts operations with DC-10 freighter
State-owned Bolivian cargo carrier Transportes Aéreos Bolivianos resumed scheduled flights on September 5 after restructuring and Bolivia's new open-skies policy.
Bolivian state-owned cargo airline Transportes Aéreos Bolivianos, known as TAB Cargo, restarted scheduled operations on September 5. The carrier had been grounded since November 2025. The restart follows a restructuring and Bolivia's new open-skies policy. TAB Cargo continues to use a McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 freighter for long-haul routes, with capacity for up to 70 tonnes of cargo. The airline focuses on voluminous freight, technology, medical equipment, and perishable goods. Its international base is Viru Viru International Airport in Santa Cruz, with a route to Miami.
