Coast Guard finds debris in search for missing Gulfstream G100
The US Coast Guard located a debris field off Nantucket during the search for a Gulfstream G100 medical transport aircraft that went missing en route from Bermuda to Boston with six people aboard.

The US Coast Guard said on October 3, 2026 that it had found a debris field while searching for a Gulfstream G100 medical transport aircraft that disappeared with six people on board.
Crews located the wreckage off the coast of Nantucket, an island off Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The Coast Guard confirmed the debris belongs to the missing aircraft.
The jet, registered C-GRJP, was flying from Bermuda to Boston when contact was lost. The Federal Aviation Administration notified the Coast Guard at about 02:00 local time.
Four Canadian nationals and two Bermudian nationals were on the flight. The aircraft is operated by Latitude Air Ambulance, a Canadian company, and was returning from Bermuda with a patient and a relative. Two pilots and two medical staff were also aboard.
Assets in the search include an HC-144 Ocean Sentry, an HC-130 Hercules, an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter, a second HC-130 and two HH-60 helicopters. In its October 3 update, the Coast Guard said roughly 1,644 square miles had been covered over about 27 hours. Search efforts continued through the night.
Audio recorded by LiveATC.net captured an air traffic controller asking the pilot to confirm the aircraft was arriving without instruments and whether an emergency was being declared. No further response from the crew was audible despite repeated attempts to make contact. The pilot had earlier reported electrical problems and declared an emergency.
The Coast Guard scheduled a press conference for October 4, 2026, at 11:00 at Coast Guard Base Boston to provide further information.
