daa International to run new VIP terminal at Washington Dulles
Washington Dulles International Airport is to gain a dedicated VIP passenger terminal, developed, leased and operated by Ireland's daa International under a 30-month build followed by a 20-year operating term.

A dedicated VIP passenger terminal is coming to Washington Dulles International Airport. daa International, the international airport management and advisory arm of the daa Group, which runs Cork and Dublin airports, will develop, lease and operate it.
The facility is planned at 37,000 sq ft on its own site at the airport and would serve passengers on commercial flights arriving at and departing from Dulles. According to the airport's operator, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, it would be the first dedicated VIP terminal of its kind in the Washington metropolitan region.
The programme covers a 30-month development phase and a 20-year operating term. MWAA said the project reflects rising worldwide demand for premium passenger services and would put Dulles alongside other international airports that offer dedicated VIP facilities.
The authority said the service is meant to save passengers time and give them more privacy, comfort and personal assistance, arranged around their journey through the airport. It described the offer as a more discreet and personalised option for commercial airline passengers who value efficiency.
Planned features include dedicated VIP parking and an entrance, plus private security screening. The service is positioned as an extra premium travel choice alongside the airport's existing passenger experience.
