Delta adds Boston-Venice route and expands transatlantic summer 2027 schedule

Delta Air Lines has announced a set of additions to its transatlantic network for the summer 2027 season, combining new point-to-point connections with earlier seasonal starts and extended frequencies into autumn and winter.

Jeff Arinder, the airline's vice president of international network planning, said customers want more alternatives and convenience when planning travel in spring, summer or autumn. According to the company, the new routes and the extension of high-demand services are intended to offer greater scheduling and operational flexibility.

From May 7 to October 29, 2027, Delta will operate a direct Boston-Venice service with four weekly frequencies, linking Logan International Airport with Venice Airport. With the addition, the carrier says its peak Italy operation will reach up to 17 daily departures from the United States and exceed 30,000 weekly direct seats to Italy. The Boston-Milan service will also increase to a daily flight in 2027.

Venice becomes Delta's 13th long-haul destination from Boston at peak summer and its 12th in continental Europe, according to the announcement. The airline said it will maintain connecting options to hundreds of European destinations through commercial agreements with partner carriers Air France, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Virgin Atlantic.

The carrier did not specify aircraft types for the new services.
