Delta Air Lines announced Thursday it will start flying from Salt Lake City to Flagstaff, Arizona, next year. Service begins June 7, 2027, with two flights a day, year-round.

SkyWest Airlines will operate the route as Delta Connection, using Bombardier CRJ-550 aircraft in what Delta called a premium configuration.

Flagstaff Pulliam Airport is currently served only by American Airlines, which flies to Phoenix and Dallas/Fort Worth. Delta said the new route will give travelers access to outdoor recreation and sightseeing around Flagstaff, including Sedona and Grand Canyon National Park.
