Delta to expand Los Angeles schedule and lounge capacity by 2027

Delta Air Lines says it will expand its Los Angeles operation to a new peak in summer 2027. With its partner airlines, it plans more than 200 daily departures to almost 70 destinations at the height of the season.

Two nonstop routes join the network: Monterey and Philadelphia. Delta will also add frequencies on seven other US routes.

Ground facilities are being upgraded too. A further Delta Sky Club of roughly 1,020 square metres is to open in Terminal 2 in 2027. By 2028, the airline plans four lounges at Los Angeles, covering more than 5,570 square metres with over 1,000 seats.

On international routes from Los Angeles, Delta deploys Airbus A350-900 aircraft configured with 40 Delta One seats.
