Turkish Airlines to change long-haul business class cabin strategy

Turkish Airlines is preparing a major change to its long-haul business class cabin, shifting away from the open seating layout it has used for years.

The carrier's most recent update to its business class hard product came in 2019, when it introduced a new seat on its Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A350 aircraft. Those jets are currently fitted in a 1-2-1 layout, with seats that fold into full flat beds and a privacy screen separating the middle seats.

Its A330 fleet differs. Those aircraft have a 2-2-2 configuration, an even more open arrangement, with either lie-flat or reclining seats depending on the configuration.

The change would bring the airline's business class in line with wider industry trends, though no details of the new layout or a timeline were given.
