Boeing 747

A deployed emergency slide delayed President Donald Trump's departure on the new Air Force One from Joint Base Andrews. The inflated slide was visible on the Boeing 747-8 that Qatar made available for presidential use when Trump arrived aboard Marine One.

The president said it was a test of the emergency slide system and would take about 15 minutes. The slide was removed, and Trump flew to Dallas. An older Air Force One stood by as a backup.

Trump had used the Qatar-owned Boeing 747-8 in July for a trip to the NATO summit in Turkey.
