Discover Airlines adds Edmonton and Belize City, takes over Seattle routes
Discover Airlines is expanding its long-haul network with new Frankfurt services to Edmonton and Belize City, and is taking over Lufthansa's Frankfurt and Munich flights to Seattle.

Discover Airlines is adding two long-haul destinations and taking over more routes from Lufthansa, the carrier said. From 1 June 2027 it will fly three times a week from Frankfurt to Edmonton in Canada, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. A second new destination follows on 16 December 2027 with Belize City; according to the airline, Discover will become the first European carrier to serve Belize. That Frankfurt connection will operate on Thursdays and Sundays until mid-April 2028.
Earlier, at the end of March 2027, Discover takes over the Frankfurt and Munich services to Seattle that Lufthansa has operated until now. The routes will be flown up to daily. Existing bookings remain valid and will be transferred automatically.
The Munich base is growing too. From March 2027 an additional Airbus A330-300 will be stationed there, bringing the fleet to ten aircraft. At the same time Discover is raising its weekly flights from Munich to Windhoek in Namibia to five.
