The Netherlands will keep its Boeing 737 government aircraft PH-GOV flying for at least three more years, with KLM continuing to operate it. The aircraft was delivered in 2019 and will eventually be replaced.

The Dutch government will keep its Boeing 737, registered PH-GOV, in service for at least three more years, Infrastructure Minister Vincent Karremans said in replies to parliamentary questions. The aircraft was delivered only in 2019 and is to be replaced after that period.
The decision follows fleet changes at KLM, which flies the government aircraft on behalf of the state. The airline is phasing out its Boeing 737s for Airbus A321s, and over the longer term it will not have suitably qualified Boeing 737 pilots available.
Tui and Corendon, both Dutch carriers, offered to take over operation of the PH-GOV. The government declined to hold talks, citing specific operational requirements and safety rules.
