Southwest Airlines has launched a ChatGPT plugin that lets travellers look up the carrier's destinations and search flights. The US low-cost airline called it part of a multi-stage effort with OpenAI and Amazon Web Services to expand flight sales through artificial intelligence.

EasyJet has introduced a ChatGPT integration too. It covers package holidays as well as flights, and shows live availability, prices and current flight status. Users are sent to the airline's website to finish a booking.

The two launches follow a ChatGPT offering Condor presented shortly beforehand, according to the report.
