Embraer has signed a Component Pool Program agreement with Portugália Airlines, the regional carrier in the TAP group. The deal covers Portugália's fleet of 19 E-Jet aircraft: twelve E-190s and seven E-195s.

Mário Lobato de Faria, managing director at Portugália Airlines, said the airline was returning to Embraer after a brief period with an alternative supplier. He said Portugália had used the same program for decades, starting when the airline helped set it up during the launch of the ERJ145, and that coming back felt right. He thanked Embraer for its flexibility during the transition.

Embraer said the program is meant to help optimize aircraft availability as the airline expands. It covers more than 300 aircraft components across multiple E-Jet systems, along with exchange services and repair and overhaul work.

Carlos Naufel, president and CEO of Embraer Services and Support, said the agreement strengthens a long-standing partnership with the carrier.

Portugália Airlines flies under the TAP Express brand and was among the first airlines to introduce the ERJ145 in the late 1990s. It operates roughly 25% of TAP Group flights, mainly to destinations in Europe.
