Germany and the United Arab Emirates have widened UAE airlines' access to German airports. The two governments updated their bilateral air transport arrangements to include a fifth German destination. Emirates benefits directly, as it can now operate up to seven weekly flights to Berlin. The airline has pursued daily Dubai–Berlin service for more than two decades. Berlin's government confirmed the expanded rights permit daily long-haul operations at Berlin Brandenburg Airport.
