Alpha Air triples maintenance space at Mönchengladbach Airport
Maintenance provider Alpha Air is moving to a larger hangar at Mönchengladbach Airport, expanding its floor area from about 1,200 to 3,600 square meters, with operations set to begin in Q2 2027.
Alpha Air will expand its maintenance operation at Mönchengladbach Airport. The company, based there since 2021, is moving into a larger aircraft hangar. Its maintenance floor space will grow from around 1,200 square meters to about 3,600 square meters. Operations in the new hangar are scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2027.
The expansion lets Alpha Air accommodate larger business jets and handle multiple maintenance projects at once. The focus is on types such as the Cessna Citation Sovereign, Sovereign+, Latitude and Longitude, as well as the Pilatus PC-24. The company plans to increase its workforce and expand its training program as part of the growth. Until the move, the hangar will be renovated and refurbished.
