Emirates opens daily Dubai–Helsinki service with A350
Emirates has begun daily non-stop flights between Dubai and Helsinki, the only year-round direct link between the UAE and Finland. The route is the carrier's first to use its new Airbus A350.

Emirates has started scheduled daily flights between Dubai and Helsinki, giving the Finnish capital a year-round non-stop link to the United Arab Emirates that the airline says no other carrier offers.
The inaugural service, flight EK167, left Dubai at 07:30 with passenger and cargo capacity close to full, according to the airline. Media representatives and a delegation of institutional and business figures were on board.
Helsinki joins an Emirates network of roughly 140 destinations. The carrier expects traffic to feed in from Australia, Asia and the Indian Ocean region, Africa and the Middle East.
The route is flown with an Airbus A350, the newest type to enter Emirates' widebody fleet. The aircraft is laid out for 298 passengers in three cabins: business class, premium economy and economy. Menus on the service include Finnish-inspired dishes, among them marinated salmon with juniper, seared venison with sage butter and blackberry sauce, and a lingonberry cheesecake.
Cargo capacity on the link is handled through Emirates SkyCargo, which the airline presented as a boost to two-way trade.
