Emirates has opened a travel store in Tokyo's Otemachi business district, part of a push to raise its profile in Japan ahead of a schedule increase.

The shop occupies the first floor of Otemachi One in Chiyoda-ku. It opens weekdays from 11:00 to 19:00 local time and stays closed at weekends and on public holidays. Multilingual staff handle flight bookings, travel information and customised itineraries. The space also has a self-service kiosk, a queue management system and a mirror for photographs against backdrops of destinations the airline serves. A Business Class seat from an Emirates Boeing 777 is on display for visitors to try.

Among those at the opening were the UAE ambassador to Japan, the airline's senior vice president of commercial operations for the Far East, its country manager for Japan, and a director from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau, along with travel trade representatives and journalists.

An earlier Emirates travel store opened in Osaka in July 2025. The Tokyo location is the second of its kind in the country.

Emirates flies from Dubai International Airport to three Japanese airports: Narita and Haneda in the Tokyo area, and Kansai in Osaka. From October 26, 2026, the carrier will add frequencies to Narita, taking its total passenger services to and from Japan to 28 a week.
