Austrian Airlines will retire its last Boeing 767 with a farewell flight over Austria on 1 December. The round trip, flight number OS 1067, is scheduled to last about two hours and depart Vienna Airport at 16:00 local time. Tickets cost 767 euros, a nod to the aircraft model.

The aircraft flying it, registered OE-LAY, will be the last of the type to leave the fleet. Two other 767s remain, and both are to be handed to their new owner by early December.

A sister aircraft, OE-LAZ, made its final flight on 13 October after 15,675 flights and 124,223 flight hours, heading to US aircraft parts buyer Cobra Aviation Services in Arizona. Like OE-LAY, the two remaining aircraft will be dismantled and their parts recycled once handed over.

OE-LAY was originally delivered to Lauda Air on 29 December 1998, according to the source.
