Emirates will not put the Airbus A350-900 into service on its Dubai–Larnaca–Malta route on 25 October 2026 as previously planned, according to Aero Routes. The start of A350-900 operations on the sector, flown as EK109/110, has been moved to 1 January 2027, and the Boeing 777-300 ER will remain on the route until then.

A second route is moving the other way. On Dubai–Addis Ababa, EK723/724, the A350-900 is now due to enter service on 1 November, replacing the Boeing 777-200 LR currently used on the sector.
