Evio and True Noord to study hybrid-electric regional aircraft market
Aircraft developer Evio will join a technology hub set up by regional aircraft lessor True Noord, with the partners examining the operating and economic conditions for hybrid-electric regional aircraft, centred on the planned Evio 810.
Evio, which is developing aircraft, is joining a New Technology Hub set up by the regional aircraft leasing company True Noord. The hub will look at how new technologies for lower-emission regional aircraft can be introduced.
The cooperation centres on the planned hybrid-electric Evio 810. According to the two companies, the areas to be examined include maintenance, financing, leasing and the infrastructure the aircraft would need.
Evio is contributing technical data and models covering operating costs. True Noord is bringing its experience with regional aircraft and market data.
The partnership's stated aim is to assess the economic and operational conditions for using new propulsion technologies in regional services.
