Finnair lifts 2026 guidance after strong third quarter

Finnair has raised its revenue and comparable operating profit forecasts for 2026 following a strong third quarter, citing demand for air travel that developed better than expected.

Finnair raised its revenue and profit guidance for the 2026 financial year, citing a strong third quarter. The Finnish carrier now expects revenue of 3.5 billion to 3.6 billion euros, up from an earlier forecast of 3.4 billion to 3.5 billion euros.

The comparable operating profit revision is bigger. Finnair projects 175 million to 220 million euros, against a previous range of 120 million to 190 million euros.

The airline said the improved outlook reflects continued high demand for air travel, which developed better than it had anticipated. Finnair also said it passed on part of its higher fuel costs to customers through increased ticket prices, and that it made progress executing its strategy while taking advantage of market opportunities.
