Four bids submitted in Slovenia's latest route subsidy tender
Slovenia received four applications in the tenth round of its tender to improve air connectivity. The carriers behind the bids, and the routes they cover, will be disclosed once the applications are opened.
Four applications came in by the latest deadline in Slovenia's tenth tender to improve the country's air connections. Which airlines applied, and which routes they want support for, will be made public once the applications are opened.
The subsidy covers up to 50 percent of eligible airport charges on a new route, for a maximum of three years.
Eurowings is said to be among the applicants and could be planning flights between Berlin and Ljubljana again. This has not been officially confirmed. The Lufthansa subsidiary had already applied for subsidies for Berlin and Düsseldorf at the end of 2024, but later dropped the Berlin plans.
