Garuda Indonesia appoints Jaan Albrecht and Trey Urbahn to supervisory board
Garuda Indonesia has named two independent members to its supervisory board and installed a new chairman as part of a wider reshuffle of its leadership.
Garuda Indonesia has named Jaan Albrecht and Trey Urbahn as independent members of its supervisory board.
Albrecht is a former chief executive of Austrian Airlines, Saudia and the Star Alliance. Urbahn has long experience in the aviation sector as well, with consulting and supervisory roles at Spirit Airlines, Etihad Airways and TAP Air Portugal, according to the airline.
The appointments are part of a wider reorganisation of the Indonesian carrier's senior leadership. Thomas Sugiarto Oentoro takes over as chairman of the board from Glenny H. Kairupan.
