GE Aerospace to build T700 engine upkeep capacity in Poland for Apache fleet

GE Aerospace has signed agreements with two Polish partners to set up maintenance, overhaul and training capacity for the engines powering Poland's future Boeing AH-64E Apache Guardian helicopters.

GE Aerospace will establish maintenance and training capacity in Poland for the engines powering the country's incoming Boeing AH-64E Apache Guardian fleet, the company said. The American engine maker signed agreements with Military Aviation Works 1 (WZL-1) and the Military University of Technology in Warsaw.

WZL-1 will handle maintenance and overhaul of the T700/CT7 engines. The university will train Polish technicians, military personnel and WZL-1 staff on the engines.

Poland ordered 96 AH-64E Apache Guardians under a contract signed in August 2024. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2028 and run through 2030, with the first helicopters arriving that year and the last in 2030.
