Hainan Airlines tops global on-time rankings in Cirium September report

Cirium's monthly punctuality report for September 2026 placed Hainan Airlines first among global carriers with 92.71% of flights on time, while Gulf Air led the Middle East and Africa at 92.90%.

Cirium, an aviation data and analytics firm, has published its monthly on-time performance report for September 2026, with China's Hainan Airlines ranking first in the Global Airlines category at 92.71% of flights arriving on time.

In North America, WestJet took first place with 85.31% of operations on time. Delta Air Lines was second at 82.52%, and Alaska Airlines was third at 80.73%. No other North American carrier was named in the source.

Sky Airline led the Latin American market with 91.52%. Copa Airlines followed at 90.45%, Volaris at 90.07%, Aeroméxico at 89.67%, and Avianca at 87.90%.

Austrian Airlines topped Europe with 86.01%. Iberia was second at 85.62%, and SAS third at 84.68%.

In Asia-Pacific, Hainan Airlines again led at 92.71%. Trinity Airways was second at 89.03%, and Air New Zealand third at 87.57%.

Gulf Air placed first in the Middle East and Africa at 92.90%. Royal Jordanian was second at 92.14%, and Safair third at 91.67%.
