Seven flight attendants were checked by medical personnel after an unusual odor was reported on board a flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu on Thursday, according to the airline.
Alaska Airlines, the parent company of Hawaiian Airlines, said the flight landed safely in Honolulu. The flight attendants were examined by medical staff at the gate and released. No passengers required medical attention.
The flight was Alaska Airlines Flight 803, operating under the Hawaiian brand, with 252 passengers and nine crew members on board. The aircraft was an Airbus A330-200.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services and American Medical Response staff evaluated the crew members at Terminal 1 of Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, according to local reporting cited by the airline. The flight attendants reported nausea and headaches, but declined transportation to a hospital.
Alaska said the aircraft will be inspected before it returns to service.
