IndiGo A321neo Collides with Docking Guidance Pole at Srinagar

An IndiGo Airbus A321neo hit the pole of a visual docking guidance system while parking at Srinagar airport on Friday morning, September 4. The aircraft, operating flight 6E225 from Navi Mumbai, landed safely around 9 a.m. and was being parked on stand 6 when the contact occurred.

The aircraft, registered VT-NOG, struck the pole of the VDGS, which is meant to assist with parking. Images from the scene show the pole bent over. No one was injured, and all passengers and crew disembarked using mobile stairs.

IndiGo said it had informed the relevant authorities and was investigating the incident jointly. The aircraft will stay on the ground for necessary maintenance and will return to service only after required approvals. Airport operations at Srinagar continued normally.
