Swiss A330 Diverts to St. John's After Medical Emergency

A Swiss flight from Zurich to New York made an unscheduled landing in St. John's, Canada, on Thursday evening after a medical emergency on board. The Airbus A330-300, operating as flight LX14 with 234 passengers, was over the Atlantic when the crew set transponder code 7700 and diverted to Newfoundland, according to Swiss. The passenger was handed over to medical care in St. John's. The aircraft was then to be refueled and continue to New York as quickly as possible.
