Iran Air A330 returns to service after engine replacement in Tabriz
Iran Air is preparing to put its Airbus A330, registration EP-IJD, back into service after an emergency landing in Tabriz led to an engine swap. The aircraft is expected to fly again on 6 October if final checks are passed.

Iran Air is close to putting an Airbus A330 back into service after replacing an engine, according to the airline's plans reported by aeroTELEGRAPH. The aircraft, registration EP-IJD, made an emergency landing in Tabriz on 20 September and was inspected there.
Those inspections led to a decision to replace one of the engines. An Iran Air technical team did the work at Tabriz airport, and a replacement engine, equipment and tools were brought to the site.
Final checks and tests on the newly installed engine are under way. If all technical requirements are met, the A330 will return to flight operations on 6 October.
No further details on the technical problem or the extent of the inspections were provided.
